McGuire Bean to Bar Chocolate Co

In August of 2019 I was in St. Andrews by the Sea in New Brunswick for an artist residency at Kingsbrae International Residency for the Arts (KIRA). I stayed in an enormous edwardian mansion uphill from the center of town. Each day, I created art and explored. One day, I found myself walking into a cute little chocolate store on the main drag a few yards from the atlantic ocean. Here, I met Mark and Victoria. These two make chocolate bars from scratch. Bean to Bar. I was soon addicted to their chocolate bars. The energy these two possessed inspired me immensely. Victoria invited me to a tour of the facility and to bear witness to the lengthy process they took to create their product; they then asked me if I would be interested in creating some watercolour paintings for them to be used on some of their packaging. I did not hesitate to answer, YES.
